hospital777: Thank you for being an important part of the Healthier Hospitals Initiative. The campaign achieved success with more than 1,200 enrollees and used data to drive sector performance improvement. The Milestone Report, covering three years of data collection, contains information from 970 hospitals, a 52 percent increase from last year and close to triple the first year report.
After achieving success in getting more hospitals involved in reducing their carbon footprint, Healthier Hospitals will remain a Practice Greenhealth Program.
Due to the momentum and success of the Initiative, Healthier Hospitals transitions into a free program of Practice Greenhealth as of May 2015, intended to continue guiding those who are just beginning their sustainability work. The program will continue to use data to implement proven environmental strategies, and will lead companies with that structure in place to more advanced Practice Greenhealth membership.
