hospital777: Incorporated in 1871 as the first hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Mount Auburn Hospital is a Harvard Medical School affiliated teaching hospital with a medical staff of more than 700 physicians. Mount Auburn Hospital offers a broad range of inpatient, outpatient and tertiary services in the general and sub-specialty areas of medicine, surgery obstetrics/gynecology, anesthesia, dermatology, emergency medicine, family practice, nuclear medicine, occupational medicine, ophthalmology, pathology, podiatry, psychiatry, radiology, radiation oncology, and others.
Services are provided in contemporary facilities, many of which are newly renovated. Recent state-of-the-art improvements have included a new Medical Intensive Care Unit, Cardiac Catheterization Suite and Referral Center, Cardiac Electrophysiology Suite, MRI Unit, Radiation Oncology Unit, Primary Care Center for ambulatory internal medicine, Ambulatory Urgent Care Unit, Emergency Department, Hematology/Oncology Outpatient Unit, Birthing Center with Postpartum Unit, and Level II Nursery. The new Stanton building has expanded our capacity in intensive care and med/surg beds.
